英文诗歌一首《牙齿》 Teeth

Teeth

I'm getting new false teeth
and I'm nearly ninety one,
"But it's too late to bother"
could be the cry of everyone

"Not at all" I say to you
I'll smile with sheer delight
and who knows, what's in store for me
I might meet "Mr Right"!

One must do the best they can
When they reach the age of ninety
We're fully aware that the days are gone
When we were young and flighty

But heck my legs still let me walk
With my new teeth, wow, won't I talk
And in my head, still working,is my brain
To laugh and joke and have some fun
Will surely be my gain

New hearing aid I also bought this year
So I could hear your voices loud and clear
To all you folks who's hearing is impaired
Go get yourself a hearing aid
You life can then be shared

When I was nearly 87 my eyesight wasn't the best
So a visit to the hospital, to have an optical test
A bit of "macular " we can see
Said the experts at Green Lane
Wonderful people that they are
Helping me on my way
And now at nearly ninety one
I live to "see" another day.

Time files and now I'm ninety one
And my teeth are doing fine
I hope I've put a smile on your face
That you've enjoyed my little rhyme
